Applecross Croft grow fresh cut flowers for sale in the south of the Applecross peninsula. Our flowers are grown without artificial heat in the Scottish Highlands, and are available from about May until August/September depending on the weather. We use organic principles as much as possible on our croft though we do not have organic status.

We are very much small-scale, part-time flower growers and we cannot guarantee orders as the local wildlife also loves our flowers – insects, birds, mice, and voles enjoy them, while wild coastal weather can leave us without the flowers we expected.

Bunches of flowers

Our floral style is a relaxed, creative flourish rather than a formal arrangement.

A regular bunch of our Applecross-grown flowers cut to order starts at £25 (plus £5 delivery), with a larger size bunch £35 (plus £5 delivery) with delivery available only in the southern end of the Applecross Peninsula for the moment. Flowers are cut to order so please give us a few days notice of your order. If you prefer you can collect from us to avoid the delivery charge.

For 2023 we will be occasionally selling market bunches as well as cutting to order. This will allow us to cut a limited number of smaller market bunches that can be allocated prior to pick up. Market bunches will come in a variety of sizes and prices and we will announce availability on Facebook.

Flower subscriptions – south end of the Applecross peninsula

We have regular customers who buy flowers from us most weeks during our flowering season. If you purchase flowers every week during the flowering season*, we deliver your flowers free of charge for £20 per bunch. Get in touch to find out more if you are interested. (*we allow for customers being away 6 weeks in the season).

Buckets of flowers

We can do mixed buckets of flowers for your own arrangement for a special occasion. Because we are a small scale grower we cannot promise a particular colour palette and the buckets are just a mix of foliage and flowers in season. We cannot guarantee we will have flowers even if ordered in advance.

Wedding Flowers

We do not do wedding flowers at this time.

Stowaways

Our flowers may contain insects as they are grown outside and we do not treat them with chemicals. Bear in mind that there might be the odd stowaway if you order our flowers!

Warning

Keep flowers out of reach of pets and children as ingesting them and/or touching them may cause ill effects. Never eat any of our flowers or foliage even though we may include herbs, etc., in our flower bunches. Some flowers and foliage can cause irritation to the skin so handle them carefully.

Customer Satisfaction

We want, wherever possible, to make sure you are happy with your flowers. Flowers are part of nature and can behave unpredictably. If you feel your bunch of flowers has done something that you are not happy about, please get in touch via Facebook or by email and we’ll see what we can do.

Working With Nature

We have planted trees rather than purchasing carbon credits. The croft features hundreds of trees and shrubs that we have individually planted and tended.

FABRIC CARE

We recommend that our silk products are professionally dry cleaned. Dry clean only process ℗ (P in a circle with an underline) inside a protective net bag finishing with a cool iron.

REMOTE RURAL BUSINESS

Our small business is run alongside our working croft & other commitments. We're not a fast turnaround business. It can be 2 to 3 weeks before we ship an item. Thank you for understanding.
